Needles
Acupunture
needles are made from stainless steel wire. Your acupuncturist
should discard all used needles and attend to each patient with
a new set. The skin into which these needles will be inserted
must be sterilised, usually with alcohol, before the needles are
inserted.
Acupuncture needles are of differing length and
thickness, the length varies from 13mm to 130mm while the thickness
measures between 0.16mm and 0.46mm.The size of needle used is
determined by where the needle is to be inserted, for example
the shorter needles will be used near the face and eyes and the
longer needles will be used on the more fleshy parts of the body.
The needle points tend to be very sharp.

as soon as possible. Try and find someone who you can trust and
know is qualified.
